Overlooking the St. Joseph Bay on serene Cape San Blas. Wake up to
spectacular sunrises and stroll the beach for stunning sunsets. Enjoy a
quiet romantic dinner on your screened porch or open deck, serving the
day's catch of fish or scallops. Kayak or canoe the waters of the bay from
your dock, hike the State Park, walk the beach, or just relax with your
favorite book and a glass of wine - Cape San Blas has it all. Our cottage
is one of six. If you have a large party, let us know and we can check
availability of the other five cottages for you. Tie your boat to the dock
in front of the cottage and enough parking for 2 vehicles and a boat
trailer (20' or less)is available at the cottage. The public boat ramp is a
short distance away. There is boardwalk access to the beach just across the
street for relaxing in the sun or watching the porpoises as they play in
the surf. The fishing is great, scallop season runs July 3 - Sept. 10. Book
early for those dates. Situated on the Gulf of Mexico and St. Joseph Bay,
surrounded by miles of protected habitat, white sandy beaches (voted the
best beach in the US in 2002 by Dr. Beach), and emerald green waters, Cape
San Blas resembles a curled finger of land jutting into the water and
provides the protective barrier that keeps our surf so quiet and gentle.
There are several parks and historic sites. It is not unusual to spot deer,
fox, soaring eagles, osprey, sea turtles, or even a family of black bears.
St. Joseph State Park is a 2500 acre wildlife refuge offering ten miles of
uninhabited beach and bay shores and a boat ramp.
